Summary: The story’s unlikely heroine is Catherine Morland, a remarkably innocent seventeen-year-old woman from a country parsonage. While spending a few weeks in Bath with a family friend, Catherine meets and falls in love with Henry Tilney, who invites her to visit his family estate, Northanger Abbey. What I thought: I have been trying to be better from a literary viewpoint and read more classics. I picked this as I have only read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen before and this was the skinniest! I did enjoy it but it wasn't even close to Mr Darcy and co.! It was still good but the characters lacked depth or something.... not sure. Hmm - which one to read next?
